The CIVIS Alliance invites academics from CIVIS universities to submit proposals for innovative educational projects under the 2025 Call for New CIVIS Educational Activities.

The call supports the design and implementation of high-impact educational initiatives that reflect CIVIS' commitment to transnational, inclusive, and future-oriented learning.

As part of our joint mission, CIVIS supports activities that contribute to building a strong European Education Area, promote the Joint European Degree Label, and expand micro-credential and modular learning opportunities.

Whether you’re designing a new joint programme, creating a flexible micro-credential, or linking modular learning into broader pathways—this call is your opportunity to lead, join our journey to transform higher education!

Exploring the Three Strands

Strand 1: Joint Bachelor, Master or Doctoral Programmes

Develop a curriculum package ready to enter accreditation under the future Joint European Degree Label. Projects must foster mobility, modularity, and joint governance across institutions.

  • Deadline: 14 November 2025

Strand 2: Modular Short-Term Training and Micro-credentials

Create stackable short learning units, standalone modules, or virtual exchanges (e.g., COIL) grounded in societal challenges. Designed for diverse learner populations, these activities should support transversal skills and mobility.

  • Max funding per project: Micro-credential: €20,000 | Virtual exchange: €15,000 | Doctoral activity: €8,000
  • Deadline: 26 September 2025

Strand 3: Stacking of Modular Learning Units

Connect existing CIVIS learning activities into recognisable learning pathways. Design stackable formats that build toward certificates, micro-credentials, or potential joint programmes.

  • Max funding per project: €10,000
  • Deadline: 26 September 2025
