Students choose one of the following study tracks, leading to a specific degree:

Track 1 Southern Europe and the Mediterranean:

  • Year 1: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), 60 ECTS (Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science and International Relations).
  • Year 2: Aix-Marseille Université (AMU), 60 ECTS (Faculty of Arts, Letters, Languages ​​and Humanities)

Double Degree: Master in Democracy and Government (UAM) & Master in European and International Studies (AMU)

Track 2 Southern Europe and the European Union:

  • Year 1: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid  (UAM), 60 ECTS (Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science and International Relations).
  • Year 2: Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), 30 ECTS (Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Institute d'études européennes (IEE)) and Sapienza Università di Roma (SUR), 30 ECTS (Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Sciences). 

Multiple Degree: Master in Democracy and Government (UAM); Master in European Studies (ULB) & Master in International Relations and supranational Institutions (SUR)

Track 3 Southeastern Europe:

Year 1: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), 60 ECTS (Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science and International Relations).

Year 2: National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), 60 ECTS (School of Economics and Political Sciences/Department of Political Science and Public Administration)

Double degree: Master in Democracy and Government (UAM) & Master of Science in Southeast European Studies: Politics, History and Economics (NKUA)

Programme structure

All participants will study:

On year 1 at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM).

On year 2 either at:

  • track 1 - Aix-Marseille Université (AMU),
  • track 2 - Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) for semester 3 and Sapienza Università di Roma (SUR) for semester 4,
  • track 3 - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
