Whether it’s climate transition, social justice, urban mobility, or digital inclusion — this Staff Week invites you to imagine new ways of teaching through authentic cases. Discover how other educators across Europe are rethinking their pedagogical approach by anchoring learning in real-world problems and collaborations beyond the university.
Collaborative Pedagogies on Real life Cases focuses on collaborative pedagogies built around real-life case studies. Participants will explore how to collaborative pedagogies and transdisciplinary approaches to enrich learning experiences. You’ll be equipped with practical methodologies for involving external stakeholders through participatory design, co-creation processes, and experiential learning. The programme is grounded in exchange: co-developing tools, testing approaches, and sharing good practices across institutions and disciplines.
More than training! A joyful, interactive, and pragmatic experience
The Staff Week offers a vibrant, collegial environment designed to spark creativity and collaboration. Through interactive sessions, peer exchanges, and applied workshops, you'll contribute to a growing CIVIS community of practice. Together, we’ll build a common toolkit, strengthen our networks, and co-create actionable plans that you can bring back to your institution—ready to implement and scale.
There will have 3 types of sessions:
- Designing: a course using collaborative pedagogy based on real-life cases (what to keep in mind!)
- Inspiring: an overview of learning/ participatory mediation tools such as nature, art, games, or digital tools
- Valorisation: how to give academic value to this type of course (publications, conferences, etc.)
The Staff Week is open to a maximum of 30 participants, including researchers, scientists, administrative staff, and OpenLab managers from across the CIVIS alliance.
