The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is organising a hybrid CIVIS Open Meeting on Legacies and memories of the past on 1 and 2 September 2022. The event is open to the whole CIVIS community.
The CIVIS Open Meeting on Legacies and memories of the past seeks to bring together researchers and teachers who, within our common alliance, work on topics related to historical or collective memory, traumas of the past, contested legacies and heritage. Historians, political scientists, sociologists, psychologist and education researchers will be joining the meeting. The aim is to familiarize with each other’s work and explore possibilities for future interdisciplinary collaborations in terms of research and teaching in CIVIS, specifically the hub on Society, Culture and Heritage. The participants in the meeting will present and discuss their work and, afterwards, an open discussion will be held on how to collaborate in the future (i.e. organize a summer school, blended joint programs). The meeting is open for all CIVIS scholars and students interested in these topics and purposefully interdisciplinary.
