CIVIS Hub 5 invites all doctoral and postgraduate students to the fourth edition of the Doctoral Webinar Programme focusing on the Challenges of Digital and Technological Transformations: Childhood and Youth in a Complex Digital World. This year' series will run between February - June 2026 and will feature monthly 90-minute sessions held online. Case studies, ongoing projects and socio-educational infrastructures will be presented.

Open to all doctoral/ postgraduate students in CIVIS, the 2025-2026 edition of the webinar takes a critical look at how recent and complex DTT shape and reshape the lives of European children, youth, their families and communities. While younger generations have been decidedly socialized into a digitally mediated world, emerging technologies, new social challenges and legal frameworks pose unexplored challenges, opportunities and questions for and about children and youth in a contemporary context.

The webinar will present a series of case studies, ongoing projects and socio-educational infrastructures that shed light on debates and questions formulated over the very past few years.
