The CIVIS school in “Paleoglaciology” is organised through the CIVIS partnership and hosted by Stockholm University. It will take place in the field, where students will be trained on glacial landforms and landscapes, and how these forms are used for ice-sheet reconstructions.

- Geographical analysis of glacial landforms and landform-based paleoglaciological reconstructions
Learning outcomes
After attending this CIVIS school, students will be able to:
- Explain the formation of glacial landforms and how they can be used for paleoglaciological reconstructions
- Identify glacial landforms in remote sensing applications and in the field
- Explain the foundations of paleoglaciology
- Classify landform systems and perform a geographical analysis of landforms

Schedule
This CIVIS course is organised into field activities and lectures (9hours/day for 5 days) and self-depended study (30h).
Requirements
This CIVIS course is open to Bachelor's, Master and PhD students at one of CIVIS member universities. Bachelor students should be towards the end of their studies. A good level of English is recommended.

Assessment
Students will be assessed based on an assignment to be completed and presented by the end of the CIVIS school.
