Main topics addressed

This webinar series aims to provide a wider view of current biochemistry research subjects than can be provided at any single university by local experts and to encourage students to exchange with researchers and international experts from multiple universities. It will also provide an opportunity for students to consider lab placements, further studies or collaborations within the CIVIS framework.

Each webinar will address a different area of biochemistry in relation to current research topics. Therefore, it is possible to follow only part of the webinars and registration remains open for the entire period.

Duration of the course: about 1hour/week ECTS offered: 1
Language: English (B2 level)  

The course will take place every Friday at 13.00 CET, for about 1 hour, including a Q&A session. 

The course is a series of webinars organised in two periods.

October - November 2021

For this period, the very first course will take place on 8 October 2021 and the last one on 26 November 2021.

February - April 2022

For this period, the first webinar will be held on 11 February 2022 and the last one on 1 April 2022. 

Requirements

This virtual mobility course is open to Master's and PhD students at the nine CIVIS member universities enrolled in biochemistry or related program. 

A B2 level of English is required.

As registration remains open for the entire period, it is possible to follow only part of the webinars. 

Students who register will receive:

  • the link for the webinar sessions,
  • a reminder with an abstract and references a few days before each webinar,
  • access to a recording of the webinar for a limited period immediately after each webinar,
  • access to a server allowing them to exchange with the presenters and amongst themselves.

Assessment

The evaluation of the course will be based on attendance and participation.

For information, ECTS credits will be given to students who attend and participate in over 50% of the webinars.
