This Blended Intensive Programme will be carried out virtually and face-to-face. In the virtual part, students must watch a series of videos and answer questions about their content and in the physical mobility part, work tables will be organised on different current legal issues.

Physical mobility

The physical mobility part will be running from 5 to 9 June 2023.

During the physical mobility part, the seminar will be focused in the legal comparison of several European legal systems with regard to the main topic "Europe and the Rule of Law". Here, the students should write essays on the sub-topics, which represents the current legal situation in the country of origin. In a second step, the students should compare their elaborations on the legal situation working out similarities and differences, which are then presented in a common presentation. In addition, there are introductory lectures by the lecturers, who are also intended to support the students in their elaborations.

Virtual part

The virtual part will be running from 20 April to 31 May 2023.

For the virtual part, Professors from the participating universities have recorded a series of videos that participating students must watch and attend. There are a number of compulsory core subjects and other compulsory optional subjects. Students must answer some questions about the content of the lessons.

Requirements

This course is open to Bachelor's, Master and PhD students at CIVIS member universities enrolled in Legal studies.

A B2 level of English is also required.

Assessment

On the one hand, the students must correctly answer the questions asked in the videos. On the other hand, the group work in the physical activity will be evaluated.
