The CIVIS course in “Coastal Geomorphology and Geoarchaeology” is organized through the CIVIS partnership and hosted by the University of Bucharest. It will take place in the field, where students will be trained in coastal landforms and landscapes, and how these forms are affected by climate changes and human interventions.

This CIVIS course will be running for a total of 5 days.

A maximum of 12 international CIVIS students will be accepted in the CIVIS course for a total of 37 students.

There will be 30 hours of individual student workload and 45 contact hours.

Schedule

There will be field activities and lectures 9 hours a day for 5 days.

Requirements

This CIVIS course is open to Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD students from CIVIS Universities studying Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology. Bachelor students should be toward the end of their studies.

The application deadline is 17 April 2022. Selected students will be notified by the end of April 2022.

Assessment

An assignment will have to be completed and presented by the end of the CIVIS school.
