The SMARTT project conducted a significant meeting with key stakeholders, including DG EAC, Ministries, and Quality Agencies. The purpose of this meeting was to present the progress, share insights, and gather valuable feedback and best practices from experts and policymakers in the field of European higher education.
The meeting began with an introduction to the SMARTT project's goals and objectives. The SMARTT team presented the milestones achieved thus far, which included successful clustering and a methodological approach and analysis of existing international programme EUROSUD.
The presence of Yan-Maël Bideau, Policy Officer at the European Commission, played a pivotal role in the meeting, highlighting the importance of ensuring the quality and credibility of HE international programmes. The insights provided by Mr. Bideau on the Commission's pilot initiative and its objectives added significant value to the meeting clarifying to the attendees the aim of the piloting.
The insights and ideas collected during this meeting will serve as valuable input for the SMARTT project's future endeavours. Key suggestions included streamlining credit transfer mechanisms, and fostering synergies between different agencies and stakeholders.
