Catalogue of CIVIS Hubs Challenge-Based Educational Activities (CIVIS2, Deliverable 3.1) ============================================================================================================================ - Challenged-based approach - Innovative Pedagogies - Blended Intensive Programmes - education - Report - Deliverable - Academics - Researchers - Administrators - Policy makers Across all five CIVIS Hubs, transnational teaching teams have built an extensive portfolio of challenge-based education tackling the issues students will face when they enter the labour market: climate change, health, migration, democratic resilience and the rise of AI among them. The catalogue documents the full arc of that work: **12 so-called “flagship” projects** that pioneered the model, **29 further educational activities** from joint and multiple programmes to doctoral networks, micro-programmes and micro-credentials, that are currently under development or already running, and **236 Blended Intensive Programmes** delivered during the CIVIS2 Erasmus+ project (October 2022 to September 2026). On BIPs[, the 2024-25 BIP report ](https://civis.eu/en/resources/civis-blended-intensive-programmes-2024-2025-january-2026 "https://civis.eu/en/resources/civis-blended-intensive-programmes-2024-2025-january-2026")already underlines that challenge-based education is a true added value of CIVIS BIPs. What sets these activities apart is genuine interdisciplinarity: all of the 42 CIVIS educational provision and 82% of the BIPs, combines multiple academic fields and regularly brings in external stakeholders, from communities to industry experts. This transdisciplinary, challenge-based approach directly answers the priorities set out in the European Council's 2030 goals for the European Education Area: quality, inclusion, and the green and digital transitions.
