The Open Lab at Sapienza University in Rome (SUR) launched the CIVIS Open Lab Call in June 2021 to support the implementation of proposals presented in response to challenges and needs such as Health & Inclusion, Circular Economy, Environment & Sustainability and Education & Digital Transformation.
The selected projects were launched in September 2021 and are now complete.

The overall goal of the Project was to encourage an approach on the topic of mobility that is also "socially" sustainable. The project aimed to stimulate greater awareness of some social and environmental issues related to the topic of disability, promoting and helping to build inclusive communities through new models and policies.
This kind of approach, can open to a small/big social revolution in which the CIVIS Alliance can and should play a driving role. In this regard, the project proposed to initiate stakeholder discussion tables and promote initiatives to bring out the so-called "needs" and constraints to make people understand that this kind of vision is needed in the cities of the future that are on their way to being smart and interconnected.

The overall objective of the Project was to define a new, perfectly circular paradigm - to open in fact to a small/big social revolution in which the CIVIS Alliance can play a propulsive role - based on the principle of "Mindfull eating" that is, the awareness of what is eaten and what is discarded, against the backdrop of a new economic model of Made in Italy development.
In this regard, the project proposed to initiate discussion tables among stakeholders and to promote initiatives to bring out the so-called "needs" and constraints to make people understand that food waste is not waste, but a resource and raw material for new circular and sustainable products.
