Number of CIVIS scholarships: 12

Workshop location: Tübingen, Germany Duration of the workshop: 3 days

A maximum of 12 international CIVIS students will be accepted in the workshop in a total of 16 students.

Schedule of the course

This CIVIS workshop consists of four sessions each day (9.00 - 12.30 CET / 2.30 - 6.00 CET). The presentations will be made by lecturers as well as all participating PhD students.

Requirements

This CIVIS workshop is open to PhD students at one of the 10 CIVIS member universities.

PhD students must present part of their theses. They also need to be interdisciplinary and open-minded and they need to be interested in global and inter-cultural encounters.

A B2 level of English is required. 

Application process

Students should send an application form, their CV (2 pages max), a cover letter expressing motivation to participate, and a paper title as well as a 300-word abstract.

Students will be chosen according to their motivation, the topic of their PhD-thesis, and their language skills. The organisers will also choose a mix of students from different CIVIS universities.
