Building partnerships with African and Mediterranean universities is a key strategic aim of CIVIS. This briefing paper entitled: “Building a Bridge to Africa and the Mediterranean Region” presents CIVIS’ existing partnership profile and its approach to developing long-term cooperation with universities in these regions. It highlights opportunities for joint education, research, innovation, capacity building and mobility, with partnerships based on shared priorities and mutual benefit.
