Have you ever wondered, 14 years after the Arab Spring, what the risks and potentials in Egypt are? Or how the polycrisis creates challenges for Africa's path towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals?
PolyCIVIS, a CIVIS Alliance Project, warmly invites you to the second webinar of their Policy Brief Series, a unique event organised by the Polycrisis and Policy Work Package, together with the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM).
Back in March 2025, the inaugural session unveiled the first set of policy briefs and opened a conversation on how the polycrisis is reshaping societies across Europe and Africa. This upcoming event builds on that momentum, launching a new batch of policy briefs designed to turn complex challenges into concrete insights and actionable recommendations.
This edition will spotlight two timely briefs:
- 14 Years After the Arab Spring: Egypt’s Polycrisis Risks and Potential for Civil Unrest – Rachel Ainsworth & Daniel Hoyer
- Polycrisis and the Attainment of Sustainable Development Goals in Africa – Saheed A. Lawal
The session will feature presentations of the briefs, followed by a moderated panel discussion to unpack their implications, and an interactive Q&A session with participants.
We look forward to your participation in this important event!
