The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid organises a transversal seminar on interdisciplinary approaches in scientific research on 19 January, 2 February and 16 February 2021.

The online event is opened to PhD students from all CIVIS member universities and will consist of three online sessions focused on international networks (19 January), social networks, public opinion and science (2 February) and transferability and impact of research (16 February).

Active involvement in research, particularly as part of a doctoral programme, requires intense dedication to a specific field of knowledge. However, it also requires basic, open and interdisciplinary training on the research activity itself, on its approaches and methodologies, on its limitations and possibilities.

Divided into three online sessions, this transversal seminar, organised by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, aims to provide PhD students with transversal knowledge and skills to actively participate in the interdisciplinary approach, which is required today both in professional and academic activities and to provide them with the tools needed to plan their professional future.

The event is opened to PhD students enrolled in any doctoral programme from a CIVIS member University.

The sessions will be conducted in English via the Zoom web platform on 19 January, 2 February and 16 February 2021 and will be dedicated to International Networks, Social networks, public opinion and science and Transferability and impact of research.
