Improvements for UofG in THE Subject Rankings 2026

Eight of the University of Glasgow’s 11 subject areas have been ranked in the world’s top 100 in the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026, with Psychology and Medical & Health placing in the global top 50. Overall, nine subject areas improved from the last year results.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026 assess universities across 11 subject groups, using the same 18 performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings 2026. These indicators are organised under five pillars: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook.
