CIVIS Hubs: An Overview of the First Phase of CIVIS (2022) CIVIS Hubs: An Overview of the First Phase of CIVIS (2022) ============================================================ - Challenged-based approach - Innovative Pedagogies - European Universities initiative - Global partnerships - Research & Innovation - Joint learning - Education - Report - Students - Academics - Researchers - Administrators - Civil society This report provides an overview of the development and achievements of the five CIVIS Hubs during the first phase of the Alliance. It presents their role as academic collaboration spaces for developing multinational, multidisciplinary and challenge-based educational opportunities across CIVIS universities. The [**CIVIS Hubs: An Overview of the First Phase of CIVIS** **report**](https://civis.eu/storage/files/civis-hubs-an-overview-o-the-first-phase-of-civis-september-2022.pdf) presents the development of the five interdisciplinary thematic Hubs addressing key societal challenges in climate and environment, society and culture, health, cities and mobility, and digital transformation. The publication highlights the Hubs' work in developing joint educational opportunities, multidisciplinary collaborations and innovative pedagogies. It also reflects on achievements and lessons learned during the first phase of CIVIS and provides recommendations for strengthening educational programmes, collaboration with African partner universities and engagement with local stakeholders in the next phase. The report notes that the Hubs had developed **more than 100 educational opportunities** during the first three years of CIVIS.
