In my mind, it’s important to support the development of the CIVIS network.

François Santerre

My 2020 -2021 year of mobility in the University of Tübingen allowed me to handle German correctly, introduced me to a new view on higher education and on my field of study. I became a CIVIS ambassador to present the advantages of studying abroad to other students. European universities have enriched each other for centuries and I believe that an institution like CIVIS can help to improve and deepen that cooperation.

Klairi Gianniri

My willingness to become a CIVIS Ambassador springs from my desire to remain actively engaged within the academic world during the tough times of the pandemic, to interact with colleagues from diverse sociocultural backgrounds, to be part of the empowering CIVIS network, and familiarize with its values and good practices. The positive impact of CIVIS in the future could be the formation of a Higher Education that will be based on a horizontal exchange of experience and knowledge among professionals and the establishment of a multidisciplinary academic network across Europe.

Eleni Anna Bozini

Hello, I am Eleanna and I am PhD candidate of Comparative Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In my view CIVIS is a unique initiative due to both its research potential and its means: CIVIS offers a revolutionary platform for cross-fertilization of research ideas, bringing together academic hubs located in nine countries! CIVIS not only stands out for its focus on cooperation but also for forging strong ties between higher institutions and society. Since I find that the extreme challenges the world faces today put forward the urgency of academic civic engagement, I am delighted to be a part of this effort!

Alexandra Soulioti

My name is Alexandra Soulioti and I am a 3rd-year undergraduate student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Law School. As a young European, I feel that regardless of our roots, we must promote European values and cultures in order to become better versions of ourselves. Working as part of a team that shares knowledge and a European spirit, we can become open-minded, and see the world from multiple perspectives. This is what CIVIS as a European Civic University provides to the students of my generation. The Ambassador position offers me the privilege and the opportunity to inform others about, promote the values of, and contribute to the mission of the Alliance that sculpts the future of Education.

Dimitrios-Stylianos Koutsoukos

From the moment I learned about the CIVIS Alliance, I was amazed by the opportunities offered by this innovative and promising initiative. CIVIS not only allows students and academics to introduce mobility to their lives but also creates a great environment for academic cooperation and evolution, whereas supports the vision of European unity. Besides, the Alliance will deeply impact the Higher Education of the future by cultivating the values of cooperation and respect. For these reasons, I was excited to support the CIVIS Alliance by offering my services as an Ambassador.

Ioana Olimpia Ene

I'm Ioana and I am in my second year of the Human Resources Management master's program at the University of Bucharest. Intercultural exchanges like Erasmus or within youth organizations have really shaped who I have become as a person. Thus, I would love to enable as many students as possible to further develop their knowledge and skills as members of a broad and welcoming community. I think that the CIVIS Alliance would be the place to start when looking for an opportunity for growth outside one's own borders, be they physical or intellectual.

Tatiana-Lăcrămioara Șoldănescu

I am motivated by the desire to contribute to the development of an integrated European area for higher education, based on academic freedom, social cohesion, free movement of students and teachers, and, above all, for wider openness and collaboration with higher education systems around the world. My aim, together with the mission of CIVIS, is fueled by the need to put in place the concepts of equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion on a systemic level. CIVIS will develop a deep level of European integration of students, will focus on the development of common learning pathways and innovation in team learning.

Theodora-Christina Rancu

The stepping stone of my covet to get involved in this transnational program named CIVIS was represented by the coordinates outlined by this project.
The quality of a CIVIS Ambassador implies the militarization for the formation of a European inter-university campus, for the diminution of the barriers related to the geographical and ethnic differences, all having as a finality the foundation of a homogeneous study environment. This mission outlined by the CIVIS Alliance should also embody the desire of change wished by a former Erasmus student, a person who had the opportunity to experience, even for a limited time, the study in a climate of European integration. As a former Erasmus fellow, I believe that, through CIVIS, I could contribute to the objectives set out above, promoting the goals of this alliance and helping maximize them in the future.

Laurelene Roussel

I want to become a CIVIS Ambassador in order to share my own experience thanks to CIVIS and show the advantage of this program. It’s important that students are informed of the possibilities to study in another country.
Study abroad is an experience very rich in knowledge. Then, in my mind, CIVIS improves the Higher Education of tomorrow. Moreover, this program is proof of well understanding between country and of sharing. University of different countries can improve their teaching thanks to the experience of CIVIS students.

Capucine Dubois

It has long been my ambition to complete my tertiary studies within an international environment. CIVIS is world-renowned for its academic excellence and opportunities. I am eager to take part in this opportunity, due to my passion for European Institutions and multiculturalism. Most importantly, the CIVIS ambassador position will provide the ideal environment, in which to strengthen and challenge my perspectives. CIVIS member universities actively contribute to the social, cultural, and economic dynamism and promote European values such as inclusiveness, gender equality, non-discrimination, and social equity. CIVIS will forge richer interactions and co-creation of knowledge and skills with citizens, schools, social and cultural associations.

María José Déniz

This is an enormous opportunity to build strong links with other students. Moreover, it is a great way to be involved in intercultural events. I think I have some points in favor of this situation as I was enrolled in an Erasmus program, I am able to speak five different languages and I am an inquisitive student. I am fully aware that no matter where you are, there will always be so many amazing people that will have things in common with you, and would like to share them. And I think this is the impact that will have on the Higher Education of tomorrow: an alliance not only of Universities but also of students.

María Gómez Rodríguez

I really enjoyed the help I received during my Erasmus experience when I arrived in the country. For this reason, I want to give the opportunity for new students to live a full experience during their exchange periods.
I believe that events like these ones change your life in every possible way. During an exchange, you can grow as an individual and as part of society: you meet a lot of people, you can also travel a lot, you know how to share your experiences and, if you are lucky, you will truly know yourself as well. And all of it at the same time as you are improving your language skill!
I Will never be tired of recommending to try it: it is going to mark a before and after.

Marta García

I feel honored to be able to represent the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in the European intercampus called CIVIS European University.
I feel it is extremely complicated during the pandemic to promote the cooperation and integration of Erasmus students and I feel proud to be one of the three selected by my origin university.
I chose to be an Ambassador to encourage intercultural activities and be the contact point for future students in the European Alliance.
The positive impact this intercampus will have is the creation of a network and community where cultural frontiers vanish and we can all learn about our positive differences.

Cecilia Lara Iglesias

I am personally interested in European Union program promotion especially when it comes to educational, cultural, and mobility matters. I believe it is necessary to encourage these programs in order to maintain the EU’s values, promote its mobility and keep its intercultural identity.
I think that the facilities CIVIS gives to students to study abroad within Europe encourage their mobility building a European community in which students from different parts of Europe encounter and share their experiences and cultures. This gives any student the opportunity to grow up, open up and learn about very different people, cultures, and ways of doing things.

Darla Patricia Dancourt Ramos

I wanted to become a CIVIS Ambassador because I felt I could contribute to this project, coming from a different background. I want to meet the people who are part of the CIVIS universities and to enrich my experience and the experience of others, being this one of the main pillars of the alliance.
Studying the degree in biology I know the importance of interdisciplinarity, so the collaboration of different universities for the exchange of information seems to be a very big step forward, which will help in the speed of research and higher education development.

María Morales Sánchez

I can be a suitable candidate for been a CIVIS ambassador since my university environment has also had this experience, some of them have been able to count on the CIVIS Scholarship and have informed me of the advantages offered by this program. Furthermore, this year I have applied again for the Erasmus + program to be able to re-live the experience, among the chosen destinations, a large part is CIVIS destinations.

During my stay abroad, I had the opportunity to learn new communication tools that could work to expand the CIVIS concept throughout the university community.

Irene Delgado García

Imagine you have the opportunity of developing your social skills, the chance of learning more than what you learn in class, the occasion of growing. Fine, now imagine you could do that all around Europe, online and/or in presence.
CIVIS gives you that.
I am sure this program is going to help the new generations to be more open-minded, secure, and prepared. Moreover, it is going to make information and academic formation more accessible. Which leads to personal and social progress.
This is one of the reasons that made me think about becoming a CIVIS Ambassador. If you add then, being able to help others, meeting new people, and improving my language abilities, it seems to be the perfect combo.

Kristina Aphakidze

Education is freedom was said once by P. Freire. However, I believe that sharing education is another practice of freedom. Through CIVIS partnership I am given a chance to attend a semester at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. This opportunity had been highlighted through my master’s years, the majority of which I spent as an online remote student. Hence, when I heard about CIVIS Ambassador program I was driven to share my experience and motivate other students to take advantage of exchange programs, even during such an unprecedented time of pandemic that we live in. I believe Civis gives the opportunity to youngsters to broaden their horizons, gain academic experience in top universities of Europe, and build a strong international network. In my opinion, all the above mentioned are the essential elements for Shaping Higher Education of tomorrow.

Giacinto Coniglio

I am happy to take on the role of "Civis ambassador" because, having participated in the Erasmus program in the first person and having understood what benefits it entails, I believe I am able to respond to your mission and help you both achieve a greater level of European integration and to inspire as many students as possible to be part of this unforgettable experience. I believe that in the world we live in, cultural exchanges are the winning bet for a better future and I strongly believe in giving my contribution in this position, also committing myself to make this project known to foreign students who do not study at CIVIS universities.

Jovana Nikcevic

CIVIS is contributing to the social, cultural, and economic dynamism with the aim to promote European values. For me becoming a CIVIS Ambassador means promoting a totally new and unique European University where students are able to tailor their own curriculum. Also, being CIVIS Ambassador means creating a bridge between Europe, the different cultures, the languages, and the different educational system. This opportunity makes every student a responsible and competent individual and young professional. As CIVIS Ambassadors I am looking forward to enjoying a rich multicultural and multilingual environment.

CIVIS, in parallel with the Erasmus project, allows students to learn about new academic and cultural realities. It offers the opportunity to live experiences abroad that enrich the person, highlighting the importance of values such as integration, collaboration, and multiculturalism.

Chiara Gozzuti

I would like to be a CIVIS Ambassador because I firmly believe in Erasmus project. I want to spread my enthusiasm for this important opportunity, that helps students not only grow professionally – thanks to courses in another language, new ways of studying, meetings with students from all over Europe and beyond – but also personally. It is important to get out of the comfort zone to face new opportunities and challenges. CIVIS can have a key role in shaping Higher Education, offering the chance to study in Universities that provide a dynamic education, aimed at sharing ideas, for cultural enrichment.

Bianca Graf von Treuberg

I want to be a CIVIS Ambassador in order to enhance my academic career and to share my experience CIVIS with international students. I had the opportunity to be hosted by one of the partner universities, and I would like to help other students in choosing this education career. I am fully aware of the importance of the project and I think that being CIVIS ambassador is a unique opportunity to share my knowledge and my skills with other students. CIVIS allows an education linked to a strong social commitment and the territory, breaking cultural barriers between students of member universities. Addresses some major global challenges through joint projects, where students are the main actors.

Diletta Lorenzitto

I think CIVIS is a great turning point in the realization of an increasingly united and connected Europe. If we want to create a real society of European citizens, we must start thinking as Europeans and not as citizens of our own country. With this project, every student not only has the opportunity to confront foreign students but feels part of something big and unique.
I am supporting a ten-month Erasmus mobility in the law faculty of Aix-Marseille University and I have to say that I am very grateful for this opportunity. I have had and I am lucky enough to live in a country rich in culture and history, with which I feel I have a deep connection. I feel like I've grown up a lot, both academically and personally. If you are willing to listen, what you can learn from others is infinite.
On the basis of this extraordinary experience, I would be more than happy to offer my experience to the attention of those who, like me, want to spend part of their studies abroad. I would advise all students to live an exchange program because the benefits are many: on a practical level, you can improve your language level by practicing it every day. Personal enrichment, then, is unlimited. Training students who do not have national borders and who know how to move abroad with ease is what will take the European society of tomorrow to a later step, made up of those values that found the union and that make it a free land, which belongs to all those who do not build walls but bridges.

Rebecca Di Spirito

I want to become a CIVIS ambassador because I find it very interesting to involve different countries in a cultural exchange, both from an academic point of view, how other countries approach the topics we are interested in, and to understand and experience different lifestyles.
An idea concerning teaching could be the introduction of common courses between different European universities, depending on the faculties, so that students who decide to start a mobility period know which courses to choose.
Increasing the number of students enrolled in this project by directing them towards a European university course.

Bianca Borioni

I would be glad to become a CIVIS Ambassador because I’m really amazed by the project of creating a European University. I personally think that it would be incredibly useful to build a European consciousness and a stronger European culture with the purpose of defeating the borders by feeding a common identity (which is not erasing the differences). Moreover, mostly in this historical context, my expectations from CIVIS Alliance are to create a partnership even more solid, and deeper, between the European citizens. For all these reasons I would be really glad to be a part of this innovation.

Nihad Malikzade

I am currently in Erasmus in Brussels which is one of the Universities that participates in CIVIS alliance. Erasmus changes lives, I am sure about this statement because this is my second Erasmus experience, and creating a closer contact among 8 Universities will help to achieve the main goals of Erasmus project, such as getting closer in academic and cultural levels.

Amy Julieth Fernandez Montero

I decided to become an ambassador of the Civis alliance because in the values it promotes, Inclusion and gender equality are particularly close to my heart as they were the topic of my bachelor’s degree final dissertation. I am also honored to be studying at two universities in this network and proud to represent my home university La Sapienza.

Ebba Köpsén

I wanted to become a CIVIS ambassador to be able to inspire other students to study abroad because, for me, it was the best period of my life.
CIVIS can enable and bring more movement among students through Europe. The alliance will certainly also bring an increasing general knowledge among students both academically and culturally. Since CIVIS mobility programs are free and CIVIS is collaborating with the Erasmus+ a scholarship can be given which gives all students, in interest within member universities, the study-abroad opportunity.

Laura Pellegrini

I believe in education not only as a tool for individuals to develop themselves and express their potentials but mostly to understand their possible contribution in societies and in the world. In a global landscape always more characterized by interconnectedness, sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences, and discovering different perspectives are fundamental conditions to face future challenges. European alliances between universities and CIVIS, in particular, can play a fundamental role in promoting international collaboration and cooperation to build a democratic, sustainable and multicultural future for Europe.

After having the great experience of studying in France at Aix-Marseille University I was keen to promote the benefits of studying in Europe and broadening international experiences. From studying in Europe, I have met and worked alongside a wealth of nationalities and made friends for life. I believe CIVIS will promote and encourage students from around Europe to come closer and broaden their educational experiences.

The pandemic has made the value of connections ever more apparent. Becoming an ambassador for a coalition of international universities was an excellent way of meeting new people and connecting with others from foreign cultures. CIVIS is likely to be instrumental in promoting such valuable connections before, during and well after our study exchanges.

Melissa Scott

I wanted to become a CIVIS Ambassador to promote the amazing opportunities to study abroad in Europe, and more specifically at Stockholm University where I studied. CIVIS allows for increased connectivity between institutions, which I believe is important in today’s increasingly digital world. This connectivity will open new doors for both students and staff, shaping the Higher Education of tomorrow by providing opportunities for communication, collaboration, and research.
