RIS4CIVIS was a CIVIS Alliance project that supported the research and innovation dimension of the CIVIS Alliance, in line with its shared, integrated, long-term strategy and in synergy with its education objectives. Here is a summary of the project’s results:
RIS4CIVIS goals were to define a common Research & Innovation strategy for CIVIS Alliance and turn it into an Institutional Transformation Model that could inspire other European Alliances or Universities. Through the RIS4CIVIS project, the member universities of the CIVIS Alliance started creating a bold vision for their cooperation in research. By assessing strengths, finding shared priorities for development and improvement, and testing innovative measures, RIS4CIVIS laid the foundations for the future of research and innovation in CIVIS.
The focus of this 3-year, 2-millon-euro flagship European project under the Horizon 2020 "Science with and for Society" was to foster cooperation between science and society to tackle European societal challenges. How? By supporting actions in Research and Innovation, a work that will continue beyond the life of this project.
