This report from the AcquaMinds CIVIS Open Lab presents the results of educational and participatory activities on climate adaptation involving young people in the Municipality of Brașov. It explores climate risks, adaptation measures and youth perceptions while supporting climate education, civic engagement and evidence-based local adaptation.

The Climate Change in the Municipality of Brașov: Risk Analysis, Adaptation Measures and Youth Perceptions report examines young people’s perceptions of climate change and their participation in local climate adaptation activities.

More than 300 students from eight educational institutions participated in activities addressing drought, severe storms and other climate-related risks, while 200 validated questionnaire responses provided insights into perceived climate changes, preparedness for extreme events and areas considered particularly exposed. The resource also presents a participatory urban exercise in Castanilor Street, where young people explored what should be preserved, removed or newly created in the area. The findings contribute to climate education, participatory planning and evidence-based local adaptation in Brașov.

Key words: Climate Adaptation, Youth Perception, Climate Risk, Participatory Planning, Urban Resilience, Brașov, Civic Engagement
