PolyCIVIS Brussels Conference: Confronting the Polycrisis in Europe and Africa

The Université libre de Bruxelles is hosting the PolyCIVIS Brussels Conference taking place from 30 January - 2 February 2024 in Brussels, with representatives from the 21 consortium partners.

This first in-person event will give the opportunity to the partners to discuss and decide the best ways forward to tackle the global polycrisis.

The conference will serve as a platform for all the partners to get a better understanding of the Working Packages, and plan the next steps in relation to the Research, Education and Policy work packages.

Through workshops, presentations, and an Agora Forum comprising two all-day policy roundtables, the conference is a golden opportunity for the partners to work together on creating an agenda per work package. Discussions will foster knowledge sharing and best practices among the partner universities and act as the first exploration of joint decisions and methodologies.

These discussions will echo beyond the conference’s walls, resonating with policymakers, stakeholders, students, and citizens across Europe and Africa. We are not just navigating the polycrisis; we're crafting a new chance to lead, innovate, and create lasting and impactful pathway to lead us out of the polycrisis.

Although this is an internal Consortium Meeting we look forward to sharing part of the experiences, discussions and outcomes of how to implement systemic changes to confront the Polycrisis in Europe and Africa.
