CIVIS board of Rectors biannual meeting at Sapienza University

On 13 March 2020, rectors and presidents from the 8 CIVIS member universities met at Sapienza University for the board of Rectors biannual meeting. 

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the event was organised remotely through video-conferencing. During the meeting, all rectors expressed their sincere gratitude to Eugenio Gaudio, Rector of Sapienza University, for his hard work during his six-month presidency. Astrid Söderbergh Widding, President of Stockholm University, has been appointed as President of the CIVIS alliance for the approaching second semester and will take office on 1st April 2020.  

On 12 March 2020, the Bureau of the Board met to discuss the progress of the working groups and the common strategies for the foreseeable future. The Rectors wish for a joint work aimed at dealing with the current global medical emergency.
