 Developed within the CIVIS Open Lab FARO project – Building Community through FARO Convention, this resource proposes a European Heritage Pedagogy inspired by the principles of the Faro Convention. It translates the project's experience into practical guidelines connecting cultural heritage with active citizenship, community participation, inclusion and sustainable development.

[**Towards a European Heritage Pedagogy**](https://civis.eu/storage/files/towards-a-european-heritage-pedagogy-faro.pdf) provides a theoretical and practical framework for using cultural heritage as a tool for **active citizenship, social cohesion and community participation**.

Drawing on the experience of the [**FARO project**](https://civis.eu/en/discover-civis-alliance/our-work/open-labs-civic-engagement/building-community-through-faro-convention-faro-project) in **Bucharest, Madrid, Rome and Marseille**, the resource presents nine practical guidelines addressing cultural heritage, communities and resources, with particular attention to accessibility, shared narratives, participation, digital tools and training.
