RIS4CIVIS: Research & Innovation strategy for CIVIS Alliance (2024) RIS4CIVIS: Research & Innovation strategy for CIVIS Alliance (2024) ========================================================================= - Communication and Dissemination - Research & Innovation - Audiovisual materials - Report - Academics - Researchers - Policy makers RIS4CIVIS was a CIVIS Alliance project that supported the research and innovation dimension of the CIVIS Alliance, in line with its shared, integrated, long-term strategy and in synergy with its education objectives. Here is a summary of the project’s results: [Discover the results](https://civis.eu/en/the-civis-newsroom/ris4civis-results-of-3-years-of-research-and-innovation) RIS4CIVIS goals were to define a **common Research & Innovation strategy** for CIVIS Alliance and turn it into an Institutional Transformation Model that could **inspire other European Alliances or Universities.** Through the RIS4CIVIS project, the member universities of the CIVIS Alliance started creating a bold vision for their cooperation in research. By assessing strengths, finding shared priorities for development and improvement, and testing innovative measures, **RIS4CIVIS laid the foundations for the future of research and innovation in CIVIS**. The focus of this 3-year, 2-millon-euro **flagship European project under the Horizon 2020 "Science with and for Society"** was to foster cooperation between science and society to tackle European societal challenges. How? By supporting actions in Research and Innovation, a work that will continue beyond the life of this project. Other resources --------------- - ### European Universities alliances: Impact, Insights, and the Road Ahead (April 2026) Since the launch of the European Universities initiative in 2019, alliances such as CIVIS have moved well beyond experimentation and are already transforming higher education. By 2022, the end of CIVIS’ “fabric phase”, our alliance seeks to win at least one partner institution in the target regions for each of its established thematic Hubs (2).
