 This practical guide shares the experience of the All-Year-Long CIVIS Open Lab Music Ensembles project in designing Relaxed Concerts for people living with dementia and their carers. It provides guidance and good practices for creating more accessible, welcoming and inclusive musical experiences.

[**Designing Relaxed Concerts booklet**](https://civis.eu/storage/files/relaxed-concerts-booklet.pdf) draws on the experience of the CIVIS Chamber Orchestra and concerts organised in Rome, Athens and Madrid.

The booklet explores how Relaxed Concerts can support inclusive cultural participation, sharing practical lessons on accessibility, venues, repertoire, audience engagement and preparation. It also includes a practical checklist to support artists, universities and cultural and community organisations interested in developing similar initiatives.
