CIVIS Association CIVIS Association =================== CIVIS Association is an international non-profit under Belgian law. Its creation was approved by Royal Decree in September 2024. Its purpose as described in its statutes (art. 4) is: “To support and encourage the collaboration among the members of the European University Alliance CIVIS in the areas of higher education, scientific research and innovation, and service to the community3. The appointment of Stefan Lang, PLUS Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Digitalisation, as the first Secretary General of CIVIS, was also announced during the ceremony.
